My Journey to Becoming a Wedding Photographer

Photography has always been a huge part of my life. Growing up, I spent countless evenings chasing sunsets and photographing wildlife, and in doing so, I learned how to tell stories through my lens. Over the years, I’ve developed a passion for creating images that feel as real and authentic as the moments themselves.

At 18, I photographed my first wedding. Although I was initially overwhelmed by the responsibility, I quickly fell in love with the emotional depth of wedding photography. With more time and experience, I've realised that it’s not just about taking beautiful pictures - it’s about telling the story of the authentic emotions and connections on one of the most important days of someone’s life. It's hard for me to imagine a more exciting, meaningful career. Ten years later, I can’t imagine doing anything else.

A Relaxed & Supportive Approach to Wedding Photography

Here's a pic of me on my wedding day!

After planning my own wedding in April 2024, I have a new appreciation for how much pressure couples feel. As your photographer, my goal is to make the experience calm and enjoyable from start to finish.

I’ll guide you gently when needed, help you feel at ease in front of the camera, and keep the day flowing naturally. I’m there to support you, not to take over.

Whether you’re planning a small celebration or a larger weekend event, I focus on real emotion, beautiful light, and the story of your day.

Giving back through nature

For every wedding I photograph, a broad-leaf native tree is planted in Dartmoor or South Devon.

I work with Moor Trees, a local independent charity who take great care in restoring Devon's natural woodland. I use nature a lot in my wedding photography, so this is my way of giving back. You will receive a certificate which confirms your tree dedication. You can even join me and the team at Moor Trees on a volunteer day. What a way to celebrate!
