For this lovely group of northerners, a wedding in Cornwall was practically a destination wedding! I met Amy and Ayeisha at the beginning of their trip for some photos at the beach where they got engaged. They admitted they were a little nervous about being photographed, so this pre-wedding photoshoot was a great way for them to get to know me and feel comfortable.

And just a few days later, it was time for them to get married! Amy and Ayeisha are some of the loveliest and most adventurous people you could meet! On both days I met them, they went wild swimming!

Their nature-inspired wedding ceremony was beautifully led by Keely The Celebrant, held at the end of a pier on a hidden lake, deep in the Cornish countryside with no phone signal. You’d struggle to find a more beautiful, tranquil location.

Immediately after the ceremony they got in a cute little rowing boat, and (after spending ten minutes figuring out how to use it!), rowed out into the middle of the lake for their private vows.

On the way back to join their family, Amy and Ayeisha bravely climbed into a tree for some more photos surrounded by nature!

Amy and Ayeisha’s wedding day was all about creating a beautiful, minimalist, pared back affair. They didn’t want the stress of timelines and complicated logistics. It really was the definition of a relaxed wedding. Just them and their closest people living in the moment. Away from phone signal, the only sounds were the wind in the trees and the clucking of the chickens roaming nearby.

After confetti and a flower toss, everyone got changed and spent the afternoon playing and swimming by the lake. Later as the temperature began to cool, everyone sat round the campfire, and ate marshmallows. Can you get any more wholesome?!

As the light softened, we captured some golden hour portraits! We kept it relaxed and casual, and even involved their son for some candid style family shots.

Amy and Ayeisha’s wedding was absolutely my most relaxed wedding of 2025 (and I mean that in the best way possible). It’s also a contender for the most adventurous and most wholesome. It was a real pleasure getting to know these guys. Thank you Amy and Ayeisha!
