A Stunning Wedding at Caswell House in the Cotswolds

After a rainy start to the day, the skies cleared just as I arrived at Caswell House, a stunning countryside manor in the Cotswolds. Despite its location near Oxford, the warm orange stone and lush, yellow-green plants gave the venue a romantic, almost Tuscan feel.

For this wedding, I worked alongside my friend Esmé Whiteside, though all the photos in this post are my own.

Kiren and Nathan’s day was full of energy, colour, and genuine emotion. When I walked into the bridal suite, the vibe was already set – Beyoncé playing, wine and cheese being passed around, gifts exchanged, and laughter everywhere. The first emotional moment came when Kiren read a handwritten note from her mum.

I then headed over to check in with the boys. They were… extremely relaxed. Beers, darts, and zero signs of nerves – maybe too relaxed, if anything!

The whole wedding party looked incredible. Kiren and Nathan both wore white, while their wedding party wore black. The contrast was bold and elegant, especially against the warm tones of Caswell House. Kiren’s dress from The Dressing Rooms was a standout – timeless and modern at once.

The ceremony was full of emotion. As soon as it finished, we headed outside for some fun, candid group photos with their closest friends and family, followed by a champagne tower and a relaxed drinks reception.

Later in the day, as guests were finding their seats, I took a walk with Kiren and Nathan through the gardens. They wanted to exchange private vows – a quiet moment away from the crowd. I felt genuinely honoured to witness it. It’s these moments, real and unscripted, that make documentary wedding photography so meaningful.

The reception room was beautifully styled by Black Saucer Tablewear and The Luxe Collection and florals by Edenflowers.

Just when everyone thought the surprises were done, Kiren and Nathan made a dramatic re-entry in matching black outfits, escorted by live drummers. The atmosphere shifted from elegant to electric in seconds. Their first dance was followed by a father-daughter dance, and then DJ Mary P, took things up a notch. The dancefloor stayed packed well into the night.
