Kate and Tim’s Outdoor Wedding at Ashley Wood Farm

“The photos Elliot captured of our wedding day are better than we could have imagined – he managed to capture the magic of our day perfectly.

Elliot’s calm and friendly presence made us feel comfortable in front of the camera (we even forgot he was there!), and our guests loved him too – we’ve already had so many complements on the photographs.

It took us a lot of searching before we found Elliot, and we feel so lucky that he was able to be part of the day. We couldn’t have asked for a better photographer, or more beautiful photos – thank you!

– Kate and Tim

Ashley Wood Farm is a perfect wedding venue tucked away in the quiet Wiltshire countryside. Its beautiful stone barns and open outdoor spaces, with chickens roaming and bees buzzing, create a setting that feels special and luxurious without being overly swanky or posh. It suited Kate and Tim’s day perfectly.

I met Kate and her bridesmaids in Fisherman’s Cottage, where they were getting their hair and make-up done by Hair by Gabrielle. The morning light pouring through the huge windows made for some cinematic photos of this part of the day, from the little details to Kate’s dress being fastened and the reveal with her bridesmaids.

Tim and his groomsmen then arrived, along with Kate’s dad. With the flowers beautifully arranged by Flowers and Twine and buttonholes in place, it was soon time for their outdoor wedding ceremony at Ashley Wood Farm, led by Polly Miller. The ceremony included a ring-warming, heartfelt personal readings, and plenty of confetti as everyone made their way out of the garden.

Afterwards, we completed the family group photos in the beautiful courtyard, which made the perfect backdrop.

The rest of the day flowed naturally, with plenty of good food, emotional speeches, and relaxed drinks. We headed off for some short couple’s shoots whenever the moment felt right. The gardens, the barn, and the courtyard all offered stunning settings for a mix of candid moments and natural portraits at Ashley Wood Farm.

The evening ended on a real highlight. Not just any first dance, but a Waltz. Kate and Tim originally met at ballroom dancing class, so it was the perfect choice. After their dance, they treated guests to a Waltz lesson, which got everyone involved and made for some fun photos to close out the night.
