Aimee and Henry’s Brympton House wedding was an elegant, timeless celebration set in one of Somerset’s most beautiful country house venues. As a Somerset wedding photographer, photographing a summer wedding at Brympton House is always a privilege, and this day was made even more special by how warm and joyful these two and their families were.

Brympton House is often described as one of the most romantic wedding venues in England, and it suited Aimee and Henry perfectly. With both of them getting ready in different rooms, I spent the morning moving between the two spaces, capturing the excitement in the build up to the ceremony.

Before the day fully got underway, Aimee and Henry chose to have a private couples photoshoot. Doing this in the morning not only took pressure off the busy afternoon but also gave them some quiet time together in the gardens and later in the bridal suite. These slower moments often produce some of the most meaningful images of the day.

Their ceremony took place on the iconic lawn between the lake and the house. Whichever way you turned, the views were incredible, with the lake, church, guests and Brympton House itself all creating beautiful backdrops. Confetti followed on the steps before we moved into the shade near the chapel for group photos.

The rest of the afternoon unfolded at a relaxed pace, giving Aimee and Henry plenty of time to enjoy the day with their guests. Once the dining room was set, they were invited in for a first look at the space. This also gave us a quiet chance to take a few portraits indoors, making the most of Brympton’s elegant interiors.

After dinner and speeches, everyone made their way over to The Stables for the evening celebrations. On the walk across, the light softened, giving us perfect conditions for golden hour photos around the orchard and back on the lawn where they exchanged their vows earlier.

As the sun set, the party continued in The Stables. It was the perfect ending to a warm, joyful and beautifully put-together wedding. Thank you, Aimee and Henry, for having me capture such a memorable day.

“Elliot was such a delight to work with throughout the entire process. He arrived early on the day and scouted the grounds for locations, he made us feel so comfortable and at ease – like you were taking pictures with a close friend. We love the pictures and I think they reflect the hard work, enthusiasm and dedication to his work. Please book Elliot you won’t regret it!”
