A Beautiful Autumn Beach Wedding in Cornwall

If you are searching for relaxed and cinematic beach wedding photography, Cornwall is one of the most beautiful places you could choose. Its perfect for anyone planning a natural and outdoorsy celebration, and it suits my style of photography perfectly. As a Cornwall wedding photographer, I love weddings that feel personal, scenic and close to the sea.

James and Mikki’s wedding was a beautiful autumnal beach celebration in Gorran Haven, one of the few Cornish villages that still feels genuinely untouched. They got ready only a few steps apart, with Mikki in a cosy Airbnb opposite the church and James at his family home. I spent the morning moving between the two of them and capturing the calm before the ceremony.

The wedding took place at St Just Church, a small chapel that sits directly above the beach. The stained-glass windows filled the space with soft colour and the whole service felt warm and personal.

Once James and Mikki had caught up with everyone, we slipped away for a short couple’s shoot on the beach. The overcast sky gave us perfect soft light and the photos from this part of the day are some of my beach wedding photos that I’ve ever taken.

We then travelled to Fowey Hall Hotel for the reception. James and Mikki arrived in a classic Morgan and we used the last bit of daylight for a few portraits in the grounds before heading inside.

Dinner and speeches were a brilliant mix of British and Danish traditions, including group singing and spontaneous toasts, before cake cutting and a very lively party.

A perfect Cornwall beach wedding to end the autumn season. If you are planning a coastal wedding and would love relaxed, natural and cinematic photography, I would love to hear from you. Please get in touch here.
