Having travelled over from the United States, Angus and Maddy wanted their destination wedding to be classy, luxurious, and full of character. Clevedon Hall, near Bristol, was the perfect venue for them, offering plenty of unique rooms, grand halls, a library, and expansive gardens.

On arrival, I found Angus and his best man in the Great Hall putting together the final touches of their speeches. Maddy and her closest friends and family were having breakfast and getting ready in the bridal suite, with hair by Holly Mae Hair and makeup by Evie Smith Makeup. After a combination of candids and portraits of both sides, it was time for the ceremony.

Just as the bridal party was about to walk down the aisle, something magical happened. A perfect little white butterfly landed on Maddy’s bouquet, resting there for a few seconds before fluttering across to each bridesmaid’s flowers. It felt like a small but deeply meaningful moment for everyone watching. The bouquets themselves were beautifully created by Kimberley’s The Florist.

As the butterfly left the final bridesmaid, celebrant Marcus Armstrong started the proceedings in the brightly lit Orangery. A very personal ceremony included the mixing of a drink from each of their homelands, as well as a hand-fasting. The ceremony was followed by a confetti exit, with Clevedon Hall making a beautiful backdrop.

After a few group shots, we went for a walk around the gardens and towards the lake for some beautiful couples photos.

As we returned, it was nearly time to be seated for speeches and the wedding breakfast in the library. Beautiful words and tasty food were then followed by cocktails and garden games outside.

After a leisurely afternoon of games, eating and socialising, Angus and Maddy were ready for a quiet moment away from the buzz of it all. Feeling a bit more relaxed by this point, I was able to capture some beautiful moments in the soft evening light.

We then returned for an evening of dancing and partying, with the music and atmosphere brought to life by DJ Kieran Clarke.
