Hotel Endsleigh is one of those rare places that feels tucked away from the world. Surrounded by acres of wild gardens, old stonework, and peaceful views, it’s a dream location for anyone who loves natural beauty, and a bit of quiet. I joined Susan and Mark for a special shoot to recreate parts of their original wedding day – an opportunity to revisit memories and capture new ones in a relaxed, intimate way.
We started the morning walking slowly through the grounds. The winding paths, overgrown wildflowers, and stone archways all made for beautiful backdrops, but I kept my focus on the two of them – how they moved, laughed, and relaxed into each other’s company.
I always aim for a blend of natural wedding photography and simple, thoughtful portraits. Nothing too posed or polished. Just honest moments that show connection and emotion. That approach worked perfectly here.
Susan carried a bouquet by Simon Nickell, the same talented florist who designed the arrangements for their original wedding. Her hair was styled by Geoffrey Ward, and her elegant rings from Boodles caught the light as we moved through the gardens.
These little details added depth to the day, but they never stole the focus. What stood out most was how relaxed and at ease Susan and Mark were with one another – a quiet kind of love that’s easy to photograph.
Whether you’re planning a wedding, an elopement, or a day to simply celebrate your love, I specialise in documentary style wedding photography that’s relaxed, nature-inspired, and personal.
If you’re looking for a Devon wedding photographer who’ll capture real connection with an artistic, unposed feel, I’d love to hear from you.
